VCU seeks to curb the use of ‘naked’ men by women

VCVU is seeking to curb women’s ‘nude’ images on social media by taking a page out of the feminist playbook.

The women’s wing of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party is taking a cue from the social networking platform Facebook to push for greater awareness on the use and misuse of nude photographs of women.

A senior VCB official said the party was planning to create a social media platform for women, which will have the option to delete pictures that contain ‘nudity’.

“Women have been asking for this feature for the last three years, and we are taking it up to this level.

The idea is that we will create a platform for them to do this,” the official said.

While the Facebook platform has been used by thousands of users, it has not been used in this manner for the past few years.

The social media giant has also not responded to requests from the BJP and the women’s section to share the plans with the public.

The social networking site has been a hotbed of debate on social justice issues and is expected to get a major boost from the party in 2019 elections.

The BJP is expected get a majority in the state in the Lok Sabha polls.

The VCK has been the target of social media trolling, particularly from users who called it “an excuse for men to rape women”.VCVK leader Mani Shankar Aiyar had earlier criticised the VCYU leader as a “hypocrite” for his “savage” comments on the issue.
