A new report from a group of tech leaders found that, while companies continue to hire more than a million full-time employees each month, the top three hiring companies for the second year in a row are all headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In fact, the report shows that the largest number of tech companies headquartered in Silicon Valley are all based in the Bay Area, the nation’s largest tech hub.
Tech companies headquartered throughout the country have seen a drop in the number of employees they’ve hired in the past year, and the report also found that the top four most-hired tech companies in the country are located in the nation, with Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft among the top five.
Here are the top-paid CEO salaries in the United States in 2016, according to the report, which was compiled by the consulting firm McKinsey & Co.: 1.
Elon Musk (SpaceX) $1.7 billion 2.
Jeff Bezos (Amazon) $913 million 3.
Peter Thiel (Silicon Valley giant PayPal) $2.2 billion 4.
Mike Pence (Vice President) $3.4 billion 5.
Larry Page (Google) $4.1 billion 6.
Jeff Immelt (Oracle) $5.2 million 7.
Jeffrey Immelt II (Oracle/Amazon) “The bottom line is that the tech industry has lost about 2 million full time jobs since the financial crisis and the Great Recession.
We’re still adding people,” said Michael Arrington, managing director of McKinsey’s U.S. research firm.
“The jobs are still there.
They just aren’t hiring them fast enough.”
In terms of median salaries, Elon Musk is at the top, with a reported net worth of $1 billion.
His median salary is $927,000, with $500,000 going to his wife, wife-to-be Jodie, who is also a billionaire.
Bezos, who has an estimated net worth between $10 billion and $20 billion, earns $2 million a year.
Bezos is followed by Jeff Bezos II, who reportedly makes $3 million a month.
The top three largest companies in California are Google, Microsoft and Amazon.
Google is headquartered in Mountain View, California, while Microsoft is headquartered on Santa Clara, California.
The company has more than 10,000 employees in the U.A.E. and has more recently relocated to the Bay area, where it has established offices.
The Bay Area is home to many tech giants, including Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon, as well as other tech giants like IBM, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Netflix and Twitter.
The report also highlights the diversity and inclusion of the tech workforce.
More than half of the CEOs in the report’s top-paying jobs are female, and there is a strong trend for the top CEO to be white, with CEOs of the five largest tech companies being white.
The five most-paid female CEOs were: Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s chief operating officer $1 million; Sheryl Seo, Amazon’s chief executive $2,000; Marc Benioff, Facebook chief financial officer $2 billion; Peter Thiel, Facebook Chief Executive $4 million; and Mike Cather, Amazon Chief Executive and Co-Founder $5 million.
The most-paid male CEO was David Sacks, Facebook CEO and co-founder, who earned $5 billion.
The McKinsey report also points to the importance of diversity in tech hiring.
In terms, the companies with the largest numbers of women in senior leadership are all located in Silicon Village, where tech leaders can connect with the tech community.
Google, which recently announced it would hire a woman as the CEO of its new Mountain View headquarters, has hired a diversity team of over 70,000 people, according the report.
The largest gender disparity is in engineering.
In the data compiled by McKinsey, the largest gap is in technology, with women at the bottom of all five industries, but there is also an increase in women in healthcare, technology, consumer and finance.
In 2016, women comprised nearly a third of tech jobs in the region, with 51 percent of all IT jobs.
The majority of the women in tech have come from Asian or Pacific Islander backgrounds.
Among the most important sectors of tech employment are health care, manufacturing, finance and financial services.
