Illini basketball coach Steve Prohm said the team is “doing well.”
He didn’t provide further details about what the Illinis are doing better than he did Monday night.
He did say he’s “hopeful” the team will be in a position to finish the season with a better record than the last.
Illinois will play two games in four days this week at home against Southern Illinois and Michigan State.
It then travels to Southern Illinois on Thursday and then to Michigan State on Saturday.
Prohm has not yet decided which team he’ll play on that day.
Illini head coach Steve Pruman said on the season-ending loss to Southern Illini that “we’ve got a lot of work to do.”
Illinois is now 7-6-1 since the season began and is 8-0-1 at home.
